ST. LOUIS (AP)—The St. Louis Rams re-signed Mark Clayton(notes), the wide
receiver who needed an extra month to recover from knee surgery.

The team announced the move Wednesday night on its Twitter feed after
arriving in Jacksonville, Fla., for its preseason finale Thursday night against
the Jaguars.

Clayton caught 22 passes for 300 yards and two touchdowns the first four
games last season. Before the injury, he was Sam Bradford’s(notes) top target.

The Rams had been considering signing Clayton earlier, but in the opening
week of training camp, coach Steve Spagnuolo said Clayton’s knee wasn’t ready.

St. Louis (KSDK) — Football officially returns to St. Louis since this is the first day the St. Louis Rams players will report to training camp in Earth City.

The team will hold its first practice on Saturday afternoon.

Some players have already been at Rams park this week, getting back to work after the NFL lockout.

The Rams first preseason game is two weeks from Sunday.

ST. LOUIS, MO – The St. Louis Rams will feature 19 open practices at the Russell Training Center in Earth City, Mo. this season.  An open scrimmage game will also be held at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo.

The public is welcome to attend each open practice session and scrimmage game for free.

Autograph sessions with select players will also follow.

(AP) — The St. Louis Rams are getting back to work.

Team officials said that defensive end James Hall and cornerback Ron Bartell arrived at Rams Park before 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Coach Steve Spagnuolo and general manager Billy Devaney are scheduled to talk with reporters later in the day.

The Rams are coming off a 7-9 season that was six wins better than a year earlier.

They just missed a playoff berth in the weak NFC West.

The Rams will open training camp on Friday and the first practice is Saturday.

St. Louis, MO (KSDK) – With rumors that the NFL lockout could be coming to an end, the St. Louis Rams announced Monday they will stay in town for training camp.

For the third consecutive season under head coach Steve Spagnuolo, the team will hold training camp at its year-round practice facility, Russell Training Center, in Earth City.

Times and dates of Rams practices will be announced at a later date.
