Rashaad Boddie no longer listed on Colorado State roster

Colorado State football appears to have lost one of its running backs. Rashaad Boddie was not on the team’s gameday roster against New Mexico Saturday, and is no longer listed on the team’s online directory. Officials from CSU could not be reached for comment at this time, but the news of Boddie’s departure is expected to be confirmed Monday.

Boddie, a 6’0”, 225 pound running back from Sammamish, Wash., signed with Colorado State in 2016. The former 3-star back reportedly also held offers from Boise State, New Mexico, Oregon State and Utah State.

After redshirting in the fall of 2016, Boddie played in 12 games in 2017, scoring four touchdowns during his first season of collegiate action.

Despite having some success in his young career, Boddie struggled to stay on the field. Boddie was ultimately suspended for the first half of the 2017 New Mexico Bowl for a violation of team rules. He also missed the first two games in 2018, but it is unknown whether this year’s suspension was related to what caused him to miss the first half of last year’s bowl game.

On Sept. 4, head coach Mike Bobo told reporters that he felt like Boddie had his best practice ever. In two games this season, Boddie only had five carries for seven yards.
