Halftime Notes: Rams and Cowboys combine for nine punts in slow first half
Through the first two quarters Friday night, Colorado State football trails Wyoming, 3-0. Neither offense has been very consistent in 2018, but the annual Border War has been a particularly slow outing for both units.
CSU was able to have a little bit of success with the passing game as Collin Hill completed 13-of-21 pass attempts for 121 yards. It did not translate to any points though, and the Rams were forced to punt on each of its first five possessions.
Wyoming reached the red zone once, and was able to cap off an 11-play, 50 yard drive with a 30-yard field goal. So far, Cooper Rothe’s successful attempt is the difference in the game.
Score: 3-0 (Wyoming)
Total Yards: 134 (Wyoming), 121 (CSU)
First Downs: 5 (Wyoming), 8 (CSU)
