Bisi Johnson accepts invite to NFLPA Collegiate Bowl
Wide receiver Olabisi Johnson has accepted an invitation to participate in the 2019 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.
Played in the Rose Bowl, the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl is a postseason all-star game for draft eligible college football players. According to the official mission statement, the week-long event is designed to not only showcase their abilities, but also prepare players for the business and lifestyle changes that come with making it to the NFL.
Suiting up alongside former CSU greats like Joe Hansley, Rashard Higgins, Michael Gallup and most recently Preston Williams, the Lakewood, Colo., native still managed to record 125 catches for 2,019 receiving yards in his four seasons with the Rams.
While Johnson did not always have the same flashy statistics as his counterparts, the coaching staff consistently praised him for his leadership skills and tireless work ethic. Between his versatility to line up anywhere on the field, route running abilities and drive to improve every single day, it would not be surprising at all to see No. 81 playing on Sundays next fall.
