Preston Williams elects to prepare for 2019 NFL Draft, will not return to Colorado State for senior season

After one season with Colorado State football, Preston Williams will declare for the 2019 NFL Draft. The 21-year old announced his decision on Twitter Friday afternoon.

In a graphic posted by Williams, the talented wide receiver stated that he will always be proud to be a Ram and thanked his teammates, coaches and friends for supporting him.

Following the loss to Air Force on Thanksgiving, Williams told reporters that he was not sure if he would return for his senior season or not, but the decision to declare makes sense, considering the 6-foot-4, 210-pound wide receiver was one of the most productive players in all of college football this fall.

The Tennessee-transfer led the Mountain West with 1,345 receiving yards and finished fourth in the nation in receptions (96). In total, Williams ranked in the top-5 nationally for receptions, receiving touchdowns, receiving yards, receptions per game and receiving yards per game.
