Former CSU offensive lineman signs with the Indianapolis Colts
The Indianapolis Colts announced Friday that the team has signed former Colorado State offensive lineman Nick Callender (2012-16). Callender, 24, was sidelined with a ruptured achilles tendon in 2017, but has been working towards a career at the next level since graduating in 2016.
After starting 21 games at tackle for CSU during his collegiate career, Callender has transitioned to playing guard for his professional career. Callender participated in the CSU football Pro Day during the spring and previously signed with the Seattle Seahawks before being waived in June.
The 6-foot-6, 321-pound guard was named honorable mention All-Mountain West for his senior season after starting 10 games for an offensive line that allowed just one sack per game.
