Rashaad Boddie back with team after brief suspension

Colorado State football head coach confirmed Friday that sophomore running back Rashaad Boddie is no longer suspended and is currently practicing with the team. Bobo originally announced that Boddie had been suspended from practice on July 30 but declined to comment on the nature of the suspension.

While Boddie had been technically been suspended for the first four days of fall camp, he did suit up and stand on the sidelines each day.

The incident was not Boddie's first run-in with the coaches in his CSU career. The redshirt sophomore running back was also suspended for the first half of the 2017 New Mexico Bowl for a violation of team rules.

Boddie was not the only player that missed the first half of the bowl game though-Marvin Kinsey (RB) and Robert Awunganyi (DB) both were suspended as well. Awunganyi has since transferred to the University of Northern Colorado.

Boddie played in all 12 games last season, recording 254 rushing yards and four touchdowns in a limited role. The 6-foot-1, 254-pound bruiser from Sammamish, Washington is expected to carry a larger load in 2018, alongside senior Izzy Matthews.
