Boddie and Kinsey will both be active against Arkansas

Colorado State football will have significantly more depth in the backfield for Saturday's matchup with Arkansas. Head coach Mike Bobo confirmed to reporters at his weekly press conference Monday that running backs Marvin Kinsey and Rashaad Boddie are no longer suspended and will be active after missing the first two games of the 2018 season.

Bobo has not specified why the two backs were suspended for the first games this season, but the talented running backs were also suspended for the first half of the 2017 New Mexico Bowl. Defensive back Robert Awunganyi was also suspended for the first half of the bowl game and has since transferred to the University of Northern Colorado.

Through the first two games this season, CSU has not established much of a running game, rushing for a total of 228.5 combined yards and zero rushing touchdowns in the losses to Hawaii and Colorado. Senior running back Izzy Matthews leads the team in rushing attempts with 30 for 93 yards (3.1 yards per carry). Sophomore running back Marcus McElroy is second on the team with 18 attempts for 89 yards.

CSU and Arkansas are scheduled to kick off at 5:30 p.m. at Canvas Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 9. The game is televised by CBS Sports Network.
