Garrett Grayson signs futures contract with Denver Broncos

Quarterback Garrett Grayson has signed a futures contract with the Denver Broncos for the 2019 season according to team insider Mike Klis.

Grayson, 27, made name for himself as a three-year starter at Colorado State, before being selected in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints.

The Vancouver, Wash., native, completed 62 percent of his passes and tossed 67 touchdowns during his collegiate career. In his junior and senior seasons, Grayson threw for 7, 702 yards and completed 567 of his 898 attempts (63 percent) as he led CSU to back-to-back bowl appearances.

After joining the practice squad in October, 2018, Grayson should have a chance to compete for a backup role in the Mile High City. The Broncos acquired Kevin Hogan in September, but the former Stanford QB will be a free agent in 2019.
