Former Temple signee commits to Colorado State

Mohamed Kamara has signed with Colorado State after originally intending on playing for Temple. The 3-star outside linebacker signed with Temple during the early period, but after Manny Diaz jumped ship for the open Miami gig, Kamara decided to pursue other opportunities.

“It was the coaching changes. (The program experienced) two coaching changes in less than 20 days. We’re not familiar with the new coaches," Kamara’s brother, Amara told Todderick Hunt of NJ Advance Media. "I told them it’s not their fault what took place. I just want to make sure my brother goes to the best possible situation, where he’ll be able to excel.”

Kamara, a 6-foot-2, 210-pound outside linebacker, recorded 132 tackles, 11 sacks, six forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and one interception in 10 games last year. According to 247Sports, Kamara held offers from Boston College and Rutgers, along with CSU and Temple.
