ASU graduate transfer Jalen Bates selects Colorado State

Colorado State football has added some experience to its defensive line. On Monday, former Arizona State defensive end Jalen Bates announced on Twitter that he is transferring to CSU.

As a redshirt junior in 2018, Bates played in 13 games for the Sun Devils and finished the season with 31 total tackles, six of which went for a loss. Bates recorded one sack and forced a fumble as well.

In December, Bates graduated from ASU and announced his intent to transfer shortly after. Although NCAA rules prohibit coaches from commenting on specific players before they have signed a National Letter of Intent, Bobo did tweet out photos of himself and tight ends coach Joe Cox holding two big fish. Later on Sunday, Bobo also tweeted that the two fish he caught were “ballers”.
