Preview: CSU vs. Montana State

Colorado State men’s basketball (2-0) will host Montana State (1-2) Wednesday night, before hitting the road from Nov. 19-21 for the Gulf Coast Showcase, a three-game tournament, featuring a variety of mid-major programs.

Led by head coach Brian Fish, the Bobcats’ fifth-year coach, Montana State was projected to finish sixth in the Big Sky preseason coaches’ poll, despite returning four starters from last season. One of those players is senior guard Tyler Hall. Hall was a preseason all-conference pick and averaged at least 17 points per game in each of his previous three seasons.

In three games so far this season, MSU has been defeated by Utah State and Indiana. On Nov. 11, the Bobcats defeated Presentation, 83-68.

In 15 games against Colorado State all-time, Montana State is 4-11. On Jan. 28, 1968, CSU defeated MSU, 91-62. The game was only the second game ever played at Moby Arena.
