J.D. Paige named MW Player of the Week

Following his standout performance against Montana State, J.D. Paige has been named the Mountain West Player of the Week, the league announced Monday. The weekly honor is the first of Paige’s career.

The redshirt senior guard from Denver, Colo., tied a career-high with 23 points on 9-of-16 shooting in the victory over the Bobcats on Nov. 14.

Paige played in 23 games last season, starting 22 of them. At 10.4 points per game, Paige ranked second on the team, behind only Prentiss Nixon. The veteran guard also brought down 3 rebounds and averaged a team-high 2.6 assists per game.
