David Roddy commits to Colorado State

Colorado State men’s basketball has received a verbal commitment from 6-foot-5, 250-pound power forward David Roddy. After previously narrowing his decision down to Minnesota, Northwestern and CSU, the 3-star prospect out of Breck High School in Minneapolis, announced his decision Friday night.

As a member of Howad Pulley AAU squad, Roddy averaged 15 points and 7 rebounds per game. Roddy also played quarterback at Breck High School and had three offers on the gridiron, including one from Wyoming. The dual-sport athlete announced in October that he would only be focusing on basketball though.

Roddy took an official visit in September, but has been heavily recruited by Medved for months. With Roddy on board, the Rams now have four verbal commits for its 2019 class.
