Niko Medved continues to recruit well, picks up two verbal commitments for 2019

Recently hired men's basketball coach, Niko Medved is already making an impact on the recruiting trail for Colorado State. The Rams picked up a pair of verbal commitments for its 2019 recruiting class this week, as both Isaiah Stevens and Jihuan Westbrook announced their respective commitments to CSU on Twitter.

Stevens is a point guard from Allen, Texas and helped lead for Allen High School to a 6A Texas state championship last year. The 5-foot-10 senior also holds offers from Air Force, Cal State Bakersfield, Mississippi State, SMU and UTEP according to 247Sports.

Stevens announced his commitment to CSU on Twitter on Monday evening.

Westbrook is a 6-foot-5, small forward from Phelan, Calif. According to 247Sports, Westbrook was also being recruited by Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Northridge, New Mexico, Oklahoma State and South Alabama.

With verbal commitments from Stevens and Westbrook, CSU now has three commitments for its 2019 recruiting class. James Moors, a 6-foot-10 forward from Auckland, New Zealand, was Medved's first commitment at CSU. Moors originally signed with Drake but reclassified his class to follow Medved to CSU.
