Lorenzo Jenkins will transfer from Colorado State

Lorenzo Jenkins announced on Twitter that he will transfer out out of the program Tuesday afternoon. The redshirt sophomore started the first eight games this season, but has not seen 20 minutes of playing time since the Rams lost to South Dakota State on Nov. 21.

“It’s been an honor to represent this school and community, playing the game I love,” Jenkins said. “I’ve made the decision to continue my career at another school, but the degree I’ve earned and the bonds formed between my brothers on the team will stay with me forever. I wish my team and coaches success with the rest of the season.”

Since transferring to CSU from Arkansas, Jenkins had played in 42 total games for the Rams over the last 1.5 seasons. Jenkins has averaged 4.5 points in 15.1 minutes per game during that span.

After earning a degree in December, Jenkins will be immediately eligible wherever he ends up transferring for next season.
