Zo Tyson announces he will transfer from Colorado State

Colorado State men’s basketball recently concluded its 2018-19 season with a first round exit in the Mountain West Basketball Tournament. Following the season, forward Zo Tyson announced on Twitter that he intends to transfer out of the program.

Tyson, a 6-foot-9 forward out of Fayetteville, N.C., transferred to CSU from Cape Fear Community College. After missing all of the 2017-18 season with a leg injury and receiving a medical redshirt, Tyson played in 13 games for the Rams this season as a junior.

Along with Tyson, Lorenzo Jenkins previously left the program in December and Deion James is expected to transfer out this summer. Sources close to the situation have stated that multiple other players are expected to transfer as well - meaning the Rams will likely have a few more roster spots opening up in the near future.

As it currently stands, the Rams have five players coming in for the 2019-20 season. Most recently, John Tonje, announced his commitment to CSU last week.
