Deion James commits to Washington State
Deion James has committed to Washington State. After announcing his intent to transfer earlier this offseason, the 6-foot-8, 216 pound forward made his commitment to the Cougars public on Tuesday night.
In 2017-18, James played in 31 games for the Rams, and started 21 of them. James averaged 25.8 minutes per game during that season, while scoring 10.4 points and taking in 5.3 rebounds per game.
Last June, James underwent knee surgery and as a result, he spent this past offseason rehabbing. Despite being healthy before the season started, James opted to sit out and redshirt this season, though. James practiced with the team all year, but never once saw the floor under Niko Medved.
