Ryun Williams finalizes 2018-19 schedule

The Colorado State women's basketball team has completed its 2018-19 schedule, as CSU's non conference slate was announced by head coach Ryun Williams on Thursday. After failing to win the Mountain West for the first time in five years, the Rams saw significant roster turnover during the offseason and will have a much different look in 2018-19.

The Rams will first show off the new roster with an exhibition contest on Wednesday, Oct. 24 against the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology at Moby Arena. CSU will then host Colorado Christian in a second exhibition on Friday, Nov. 2, before officially opening the season at home against Eastern New Mexico on Nov. 6.

CSU's season opener against ENMU is one of eight total home non conference games for the Rams in 2018-19. Following the home opener, the Rams will travel to Boulder for the annual Rocky Mountain Showdown against Colorado on Thursday, Nov. 15. The Rams were defeated 70-67 by the Buffaloes in Fort Collins last season.

The Rams will then host Northern Colorado on Nov. 20 and Cornell on Nov. 25, before traveling to Spokane, WA. to face off with Gonzaga. When the two squads met in Moby Arena last November, the Rams defeated the Bulldogs handily, 65-49.

CSU returns to Moby in early December for home games against North Florida on Dec. 2, Northern Arizona on Dec. 5 and Arizona State on Sunday, Dec. 9.  Following a road matchup at BYU on Saturday, Dec. 15, the Rams will close out the non conference portion of the schedule with home games against Denver (Dec. 21) and Chadron State (Dec. 29).
